Skyfire 2.0 for Android beta introduces a powerful new browsing experience. This feature-rich browser opens the door for increased speed and functionality with the exciting new ability to watch Flash videos!

Advantages over other browsers:

  • Ability to play Flash videos in your Android browser!
  • Pinch-to-zoom (Android 2.0+)
  • Ability to toggle full-screen/mobile versions of webpages
  • Beautiful multiple window UI (up to 8 open at a time)
  • Easy social sharing from the SkyBar menu
  • Explore similar content using the Explore button on the SkyBar menu
  • Clear history when closing the app to protect anonymous browsing
  • Video quality depends on connection speed for quick access
  • Home page features easy access to most popular websites

Drawbacks over other browsers:

  • Speed of browsing didn’t seem improved with the G1

Skyfire Browser 2.0 is really reminiscent of the Opera Mini 5 browser that is also available for Android. It definitely has the potential to be an incredible browser, taking into consideration the success of the current beta. The UI is very intuitive and facilitates an easy browsing experience.
