Our new series titled How to Market an Android App, Tips for Developers, is intended for Android developers who currently have an app in the Android Market or are actively developing one. Having personally downloaded and tested thousands of Android apps and games over the past two years, I have identified many characteristics (some obvious, others not so much) which many of the most successful apps possess.
While some of these tips will pertain to marketing an Android app, as in increasing the number of downloads, ratings, and popularity your app receives, other tips will focus on general app development and the downstream user experience.
Today Google announced the introduction of Google+ Pages where businesses, websites, and brands can create a place to connect with their customers, readers, and fans.
We’d like to invite all of our readers and fans who are on Google+ to add the Best Android Apps Review Google+ page to your circles. You might have noticed that your Google+ profile has a new circle called “Following” which automatically adds all of your pages into a single circle.

Just as you would create your very own “Mii” to play on your Nintendo Wii, Google has just released their own rendition, Androidify. You can personalize your own Android with various outfits, shoes, hair, hats, and other accessories. Even stretch or shrink the arms, legs, body, and head as you see fit.
Once you have completed your personalizations, save and share it via gmail, SMS, Twitter, or Picasa. You can see all of your creations in the “My Androids” section in the menu.
A worthy update would be the ability to customize the background, since the only option is plain white at the moment.
