The Bord Android app distinguishes itself as being designed for children and their parents to use as an educational platform with which to teach young children letters, numbers, shapes, etc. without the messy chalk dust. But of course, this Android app lets you do much, much more!
The app’s interface features one-click access to various chalk pieces in different colors (white, yellow, orange, green, blue, and pink) as well as three different thicknesses. You can also toggle between a black or green chalkboard, depending on your preference and/or the colors you’re working with. On the far left you’ll find a sponge for selectively erasing parts of the board. If you’d like to erase the whole board entirely, just shake your Android device. For good reason, you’ll have to give your device a significant shake to perform the erase function, which prevents the board from being cleared while just passing the device back and forth.
The ability to save your drawings has been built-in to this app so you can quickly come back to them later. To do this, click the folder upload icon adjacent to the save button and choose your past chalkboard. After doing so, you’ll see a playback of your drawing in real-time with options to speed it up 2, 4, or 8x. Plus, the save button also gives you the option to share your chalkboard as a .png image via text, email, or social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.
