To play aTilt 3D Labyrinth, hold your Android device level to the ground and slowly tilt it in the direction you’d like the ball to roll. Your goal is to make the ball travel to the white-striped hole while avoiding all other black holes along the way (otherwise you’re sent straight back to the beginning)! Tip: it’s best if you hold your phone with both hands for ultimate control and responsiveness.
This Android game features over 250 unique levels ranging from very easy to difficult. For additional challenges, check out the mazes and bonus maps sections. And once you’ve conquered all of the built-in levels, there is the option to download maps or even create your own online at the aTilt Level Editor website.
The 3D graphics generated by the Android app use the phone’s position relative to the ground to angle walls in a way that gives the labyrinth defined dimensions. This feature makes the game itself much more immersive and engaging. While potentially difficult to implement in other genres, this effect would be nice to see in more Android games. Note: if you’re not a fan of the 3D graphics, you can disable them and revert to 2D mode in the game’s Settings > Performance menu.
If you feel like you’re having more difficulty than you should, access the settings and adjust the tilt sensitivity values and calibrate the game’s tilting action by defining the flat orientation (ball should not move there). If this doesn’t help, you might just need more practice!
