Best Android Apps to Increase Your Productivity

Best Android Apps to Increase Your Productivity
With the newest “superphone” release, the Nexus One inspired us to create a list of the best Android apps to increase your productivity.  The allure of smartphones is in their ability to keep you up-to-date with the latest news, information, and answers.  Even more so, it’s their ability to do all of these things on-the-go and in half the time.  Building off of this, the following apps offer you invaluable services and information that keeps you one step ahead.
Increase the responsiveness and speed of your Android phone by ending applications with a single click.  Save battery life and get things done faster with Advanced Task Manager.
Scan barcodes or search to compare prices of items you find in stores with Amazon.  Save time and money by shopping online.
Never forget to pay a bill, miss an appointment, or remember to do something.  Prioritize tasks, make deadlines, and set reminders to keep yourself on track.
Astro File Manager
Cleanup your SD card and organize the files you need the most.  Backup applications and never lose track of files on your phone again.
Live traffic and turn by turn directions. Need I say more?
Use pictures to instantly get information about landmarks, logos, artwork, businesses, etc.  Forget asking questions, get your own answers immediately.
HandyCalc
Quickly calculate anything and everything with this simple (yet useful) calculator.  Don’t leave home without it.
MobisleNotes

Simple and straight-forward notes and to-do lists.  Check off items you listed as you go to stay on track.  Brilliant UI.

Consolidated list of all the settings you’d want to change.  Customize to save battery and speed up your phone.  Enjoy the UI.
Stay on top of everything going on with Twitter and therefore the World (right?).  Offers a full-feature client that will keep you connected.  Don’t miss anything.
We couldn’t decide on which Twitter app to recommend (they’re both great) so they’ve both made the list.
Find the lowest gas prices, best local restaurants, and access Yellow Pages listings.  Endless information to help you make the right decisions no matter where you are.
Which of these apps have you used and enjoy?  Did we forget some other great Android apps that help you  get things done quickly?  Leave us a comment and let us know!

  1. Nice,

For the task kiler I’d recommend automatic task killer, it kills apps automatically when the screen goes off.

    • I actually didn’t know about that option for Automatic Task Killer, that is really handy and makes sense.. you don’t need to waste battery while you’re not using the phone!
